Paris is a city where we find ourselves equally enamored with places we find and people we meet. A beautiful shot lies around each corner, all one really needs to do is take off the lens cap and snap away.
For this series we decided to be inspired by the beauty of old black and white films, especially the film Pickpocket by Robert Bresson, known for his spiritual and ascetic style. In the same way Bresson would use non-professional actors and have them repeat scenes until their performance was removed, we show Paris at its most basic level. By stripping away color and high contrast, the photos are allowed to tell the story through their subtlety.
